The History of The Commons Club

Not long ago, neighborhoods were places where you knew everyone’s name and everyone knew yours. The Commons Club at The Brooks incorporates this small town feel within every facet of our Club.

As one of the premier mixed-use communities in Southwest Florida we are comprised of residential living, shopping centers, office buildings, community parks and social activities. Established in 1999 by the Bonita Bay Group, The Commons Club is available to both residents of the Brooks and non-residents.

The Brooks consist of five communities; Copperleaf, Lighthouse Bay, ShadowWood, ShadowWood Preserve and Spring Run.

The Commons Club at The Brooks became a member-owned club in 2010 and is situated in a tranquil park-like setting that features a newly renovated Fitness Center and Spa, Enrichment Center with social activities and a private restaurant. The crown jewel of The Commons Club is the private Beach Club located on Bonita Beach.
